Kuitukaapeli S/CONN ShiverPeaks 77921/3 1m SC turkoosi

The S/CONN ShiverPeaks 77921/3 1m SC Turquoise is an OM3 multimode fibre optic patch cable designed for short-distance, high-speed network connections. It features SC connectors on both ends and a 50 µm core diameter, enabling reliable full-duplex communication and low signal loss in structured cabling environments. The turquoise jacket provides quick visual identification in racks and cable trays, simplifying maintenance and cable management.

Advantages

This OM3 fibre cable supports higher bandwidth and data rates compared with lower-grade multimode fibres, making it suitable for 10 Gbps and some higher-speed applications over short distances. The SC connectors provide push-pull coupling for secure and repeatable connections. The 1 m length reduces excess slack and helps maintain tidy installations. The turquoise outer jacket improves traceability and reduces the risk of accidental disconnection during routine work.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches, transceivers and patch panels in data centers
• Short-range backbone and horizontal cabling in enterprise networks
• High-density rack environments where clear cable identification is needed

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM3 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: SC to SC (both ends)
• Length: 1 m
• Mode: Multimode, full duplex
• Jacket colour: Turquoise

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces for cleanliness before mating and, if necessary, clean with appropriate fibre-cleaning tools to avoid signal loss. Align the SC connectors and push until they latch; confirm both ends are secured. Route the cable through cable management systems to avoid sharp bends and maintain the minimum bend radius specified for multimode fibre. Test the link with appropriate optical test equipment to verify insertion loss and continuity after installation.

Recommendations

Use this 1 m OM3 SC–SC patch cable for short interconnects between active equipment within racks or between adjacent racks. Keep connectors capped when not in use and avoid tight bends or crushing to preserve optical performance. For longer runs or single-mode systems, choose cables with appropriate fibre types and connectors.
