Kuitukaapeli S/CONN ShiverPeaks 77933/4 10 m

Fibre optic cable S/CONN ShiverPeaks 77933/4 10 m is a 10-metre OM4 multimode patch cable with LC and ST connectors and a 50 µm core diameter. Designed for high-speed full duplex transmission, this cable is suitable for InfiniBand applications and general high-performance network links where low attenuation and consistent modal bandwidth are required. The combination of LC and ST terminations provides compatibility with a wide range of equipment in data centers and structured cabling installations.

Advantages

This OM4 fibre offers low insertion loss and stable signal integrity over short to medium distances, supporting high data rates and full duplex communication. The 50 µm core improves modal bandwidth compared with lower-grade multimode fibres, enabling reliable performance for server interconnects, switches and storage systems. The mixed LC–ST connectorization ensures flexible connectivity to devices with different port types without adapters.

Suitable for

• Data centre interconnects between switches, servers and storage arrays
• InfiniBand links and other high-performance computing network segments
• Structured cabling in enterprise LANs and telecommunications rooms
• Short- to medium-range optical patching where OM4 bandwidth is required

Key specifications

• Length: 10 m
• Fibre type: OM4 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector types: LC (one end) and ST (other end)
• Transmission mode: full duplex

How to use

Inspect connectors and cable prior to installation to ensure endfaces are clean and undamaged. Connect the LC end to the appropriate LC port and twist the ST connector into the matching ST receptacle until it seats securely. Route the cable using appropriate ties or trays to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress; maintain the minimum bend radius specified by the manufacturer when laying the cable. Verify the optical link using suitable testing equipment or by checking link status on connected devices.

Recommendations

Clean connector endfaces with proper fibre cleaning tools before mating, avoid bending beyond the recommended radius, and secure cable runs to prevent strain. For critical or long-term installations, perform insertion loss and continuity tests after installation to confirm performance meets system requirements.
