Kuitukaapeli ShiverPeaks S/CONN 1 m LC/ST

The ShiverPeaks Fibre Optic Cable S/CONN 1m LC/ST is a 1-metre multimode OM2 cable designed for reliable, high-speed optical connections. Featuring an LC connector on one end and an ST connector on the other, the cable has a 50 µm core diameter and supports full duplex transmission, making it suitable for short-range links within data centers, telecom racks, and network distribution points. The cable construction balances flexibility and durability to maintain signal integrity during installation and routine operation.

Advantages

This LC to ST OM2 cable provides stable multimode performance with a 50 µm core that meets common infrastructure requirements for short-distance links. Full duplex capability enables simultaneous bi-directional data flow, reducing latency in point-to-point connections. The compact LC connector and bayonet-style ST connector offer compatibility with a wide range of network equipment, while the 1 metre length helps minimize excess cable clutter in dense installations.

Suitable for

• Patching between switches, transceivers and patch panels in data centers
• Interconnecting telecom equipment and network distribution frames
• Short-reach optical links in enterprise LANs and server rooms

Key specifications

• Length: 1 metre
• Fiber type: Multimode OM2
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connectors: LC (one end) and ST (other end)
• Transmission: Full duplex
• Typical application range: Short-range optical connections

How to use

Identify the LC and ST ports on the devices to be connected, ensuring that transceivers or panel ports accept the corresponding connector types. Align and insert the LC connector until it clicks into the socket; insert the ST connector with a quarter-turn to lock the bayonet. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical strain; maintain the minimum bend radius specified by the equipment vendor to preserve optical performance. Verify link status on connected devices and, if needed, perform loss measurements with appropriate test equipment.

Recommendations

For stable performance, avoid sharp bends and excessive pulling force during installation. Use appropriate patch panels and cable management to prevent connector stress and contamination. Periodically inspect connectors and clean end faces with approved optical cleaning tools to reduce insertion loss and maintain reliable full duplex communication.
