kuituoptinen kaapeli ShiverPeaks BS07-530715 10 m LC SC vihreä

The ShiverPeaks BS07-530715 10m OM5 fibre optic cable with LC to SC connectors provides a multimode link designed for high-speed, short- to medium-range network connections. With a 50 µm core diameter and full duplex configuration, the cable supports simultaneous bi-directional data transmission. The green outer jacket identifies it as OM5 multimode, intended for applications that require dense data transfer and minimized modal dispersion for modern Ethernet and storage networking environments.

Advantages

This OM5 fibre optic cable offers low insertion loss and controlled attenuation across the multimode bandwidth, maintaining signal integrity over the 10 m length. The LC connector provides a compact footprint for high-density patch panels, while the SC connector offers durable push-pull mating for ease of installation. The full duplex pairing ensures separate transmit and receive paths to support standard duplex networking protocols. The 50 µm core supports optimized performance with contemporary multimode transceivers.

Suitable for

• Data centre patching and interconnects
• Server-to-switch or switch-to-switch multimode links
• High-speed Ethernet and Fibre Channel short-reach connections
• Telecommunication equipment racks and optical distribution frames

Key specifications

• Cable type: Multimode OM5
• Length: 10 m
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector A: LC (single fiber of the duplex pair)
• Connector B: SC (single fiber of the duplex pair)
• Duplex: Full duplex (two fibers)
• Colour: Green outer jacket

How to use

Before installation, verify compatibility between the transceivers or ports and the OM5 multimode fibre specifications. Route the 10 m cable avoiding sharp bends and mechanical stress; maintain the manufacturer's minimum bend radius to prevent increased attenuation. Insert the LC and SC connectors into the corresponding ports, ensuring correct orientation and a secure connection. For best performance, inspect connector end-faces for contamination and clean with appropriate fibre cleaning tools if necessary.

Recommendations

Use this OM5 LC–SC duplex cable in structured cabling systems where multimode performance and high-density patching are required. Store and handle the cable to avoid kinks and excessive pulling force. For critical links, test end-to-end attenuation and optical return loss after installation to confirm compliance with system requirements.
