Kuituvalokaapeli EFB Elektronik O0321.2 2 m LC ST oranssi

The EFB Elektronik O0321.2 is a 2 m OM2 multimode fibre optic cable with LC and ST connectors designed for reliable full-duplex data transmission. It has a 50 µm core diameter and orange jacket colour coding to simplify identification in racks and patch panels. The cable is intended for short- to medium-range network links where multimode performance and standard connector compatibility are required.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable provides consistent multimode transmission characteristics suitable for standard enterprise and telecom environments. The combination of LC and ST connectors enables interoperability with equipment using either connector type without additional adapters. The 2 m length reduces excess cable in patching setups while offering sufficient reach for common rack-to-rack and equipment-to-equipment connections. The orange outer jacket follows common industry colour conventions for OM2 multimode cabling, aiding quick visual identification during installation and maintenance.

Suitable for

• Patch panel to switch or media converter connections in data centres and server rooms
• Interconnects between networking devices that use LC and ST interfaces
• Short- to medium-range multimode fibre links in campus and enterprise networks
• Laboratory and testing setups requiring standardised multimode fibre

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM2 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Length: 2 m
• Connector types: LC connector on one end, ST connector on the other end
• Transmission mode: Full duplex
• Jacket colour: Orange

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces for cleanliness before insertion and clean with appropriate fibre cleaning tools if necessary. Align the LC connector with the LC port and push until it clicks, and insert the ST connector into the ST receptacle and secure by turning the bayonet coupling until it locks. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and undue stress on the connectors; follow minimum bend radius guidelines for multimode fibre. Verify link status and perform an optical power or continuity test to confirm proper connection and signal integrity.

Recommendations

Use this OM2 multimode cable for short-distance links where LC and ST compatibility is required. Store and handle connectors carefully to prevent contamination; keep protective dust caps on connectors when not in use. For longer distances or higher bandwidth demands, consider appropriate multimode types (OM3/OM4) or singlemode solutions depending on system requirements.
