How to use

Install the switch in a standard 19-inch rack using the supplied brackets or place it on a stable surface if rack mounting is not required. Connect uplink and client devices to the RJ-45 ports using Cat5e or better Ethernet cables. Configure basic network settings via the device management interface or use your existing network management tools to set VLANs, link aggregation and QoS as needed. When powering PoE devices, verify the power budget and device PD requirements to avoid overload.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, maintain adequate ventilation around the 1U chassis, use appropriate Ethernet cabling (Cat5e or higher) for Gigabit links, and plan PoE deployment according to the switch's total available power. Regularly update firmware according to HUAWEI guidance and monitor port status through your management system to ensure consistent connectivity.
