Kytkin TRENDnet TPE-B541 5-porttinen Gigabit PoE++ 1 Gbps

TRENDnet TPE-B541 5-Port Gigabit PoE++ 1 Gbps is a compact unmanaged network switch that delivers 1 Gbps Ethernet connectivity while supplying Power over Ethernet++ (PoE++) to compatible devices. Designed for small network environments, the switch combines data and up to high-level PoE power on supported ports, enabling centralized deployment of IP cameras, wireless access points and VoIP phones without separate power adapters. Its small form factor and plug-and-play operation make it suitable for simple installations where reliable gigabit links and PoE power delivery are required.

Advantages

The switch provides gigabit Ethernet performance across five ports with PoE++ power on supported ports, allowing simultaneous data and power delivery over a single cable. Its unmanaged design requires no configuration and supports straightforward installation. The compact housing reduces rack or desk footprint and helps limit cable clutter. Built-in Ethernet switching ensures full-duplex 1 Gbps throughput for connected devices and supports typical small-network traffic patterns.

Suitable for

• Deployment of PoE cameras in small office or retail environments
• Powering wireless access points in small to medium indoor coverage areas
• VoIP phone installations where centralized power simplifies cabling
• Edge switching for small branch offices or network extensions
• Temporary or fixed setups requiring combined data and power over Ethernet

Key specifications

• Number of ports: 5 Gigabit Ethernet ports
• Port speed: 1 Gbps (per port)
• PoE capability: PoE++ on supported ports (power over Ethernet with higher class support)
• Form factor: compact desktop/desk-mount chassis
• Operation: unmanaged, plug-and-play
• Throughput: wire-speed switching for gigabit devices

How to use

Place the switch on a stable surface or mount it according to the product instructions, ensuring adequate ventilation and proximity to your network devices. Connect the switch to a router or upstream network device using a Cat5e or higher Ethernet cable to provide network access. Plug compatible PoE devices—such as IP cameras, access points or VoIP phones—into the PoE-enabled ports using appropriate Ethernet cables; the switch will deliver both data and power over the same cable when devices support PoE++. Non-PoE devices can be connected to any remaining ports for data-only links. Power the switch from a standard AC outlet and verify link/activity LEDs to confirm connections.

Recommendations

Use Cat5e or Cat6 cables for reliable gigabit performance and minimize cable runs to prevent voltage drop on high-power PoE++ connections. Verify device PoE class and total power budget before connecting multiple high-power devices to ensure the switch can supply sufficient power. For installations in exposed or high-temperature environments, provide adequate ventilation and follow manufacturer guidance on operating conditions.
