LevelOne HDMI over Cat.5 -jatkosarja, HDBaseT, 100 m

The LevelOne 300 Metre HDMI Extender is a transmitter-and-receiver kit that extends Ultra HD HDMI signals up to 300 metres over Ethernet cabling. It includes a built-in 4K Ultra HD video scaler to adapt the output to the best possible display compatibility without requiring optical fibre, providing a practical solution for long-range HDMI installations.

Advantages

The extender delivers high-definition video over standard Ethernet cable while avoiding the cost and installation complexity of fibre. The integrated 4K scaler automatically adjusts signals for optimal display compatibility, and HDMI outputs support EDID management to ensure correct handshake between source and displays. A screw-in power socket improves connector security during continuous operation.

Key specifications

• Maximum transmission distance: up to 300 m for 4K2K resolution
• Built-in 4K Ultra HD video scaler
• HDMI outputs with EDID management
• Transmits over Ethernet cabling (no optical fibre required)
• Screw-in power socket for added safety
• Includes transmitter and receiver units

How to use

Connect the transmitter to the HDMI source and the receiver to the display using standard HDMI cables. Link transmitter and receiver with appropriate Ethernet cabling up to 300 metres. Configure EDID settings if needed to match the source and display capabilities; the built-in scaler will adjust output where possible. Secure the power connections using the screw-in connectors and power both units according to the manufacturer instructions before use.

Recommendations

For best performance use high-quality, shielded Ethernet cable and verify cable continuity for long runs. If multiple displays or complex signal chains are used, check EDID settings and test the scaler output with the intended display to ensure correct resolution and compatibility.
