Lindy 1,0 m OM2 LC - SC duplex InfiniBand-kuitukaapeli 1 m oranssi

The Lindy 1.0m OM2 LC - SC Duplex fibre optic cable provides reliable short-range multimode fibre connectivity for networking equipment. With a 50 µm core diameter (OM2) and a duplex configuration, the cable supports full-duplex data transmission between LC and SC interfaced devices. The 1.0 m length is suited to rack, patch-panel and equipment-to-equipment connections where low attenuation and consistent optical performance are required.

Advantages

This OM2 fibre cable combines a compact LC connector with a widely used SC connector to bridge different port types while maintaining multimode optical performance. Duplex construction supports simultaneous transmit and receive channels, reducing cabling complexity. The 50 µm core ensures compatibility with standard multimode transceivers and offers controlled modal dispersion for short-distance links. The fixed 1.0 m length simplifies installation in patching scenarios and minimizes excess cable management.

Suitable for

• Patch panels and rack-mounted network equipment
• Connections between switches, servers and transceivers with LC and SC ports
• Short-distance multimode links within data centers or telecom rooms
• Laboratory and test-bench fibre interconnects

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM2 multimode (50 µm core)
• Connector A: LC duplex
• Connector B: SC duplex
• Length: 1.0 m
• Duplex configuration: two fibres for full-duplex communication
• Polish/type: multimode connector polish suitable for standard multimode links
• Typical application: short-range multimode data transmission

How to use

Install the Lindy OM2 LC - SC Duplex cable by aligning and inserting the LC connector into the LC port and the SC connector into the SC port on the respective devices. Ensure the connectors are clean before insertion to minimize signal loss; use appropriate fibre cleaning tools if necessary. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and secure it to cable management points to prevent strain on the connectors. Verify link status on connected devices and, if required, test optical attenuation with suitable measuring equipment to confirm performance.

Recommendations

The cable is intended for short-range multimode links; avoid using it for singlemode or long-haul applications. Keep connector endfaces covered until installation and avoid bending the cable beyond the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius. For best results, pair this OM2 cable with compatible multimode transceivers and perform end-to-end testing after installation.
