Mono 6,3 mm -plugi ShiverPeaks 50600-G – kullattu metalliaudioplugi

ShiverPeaks Mono 6.3mm Connector 50600-G — gold-plated metal audio jack is a mono 6.3 mm (1/4") connector designed for instrument and line-level signal paths. The connector features a metal housing and gold-plated contact surfaces to provide stable electrical contact and increased resistance to corrosion. It is suitable for replacing damaged jacks or building custom mono cables for guitars, keyboards, mixers and other audio equipment that require a reliable 6.3 mm connection.

Advantages

The gold-plated contact improves conductivity and reduces the risk of signal loss due to oxidation. A robust metal housing offers mechanical durability for frequent insertion and removal. The connector's standard 6.3 mm size ensures compatibility with most professional and consumer audio gear using mono tip-style jacks. Designed for straightforward soldering and assembly, it enables secure, low-resistance connections when installed correctly.

Suitable for

• Replacing damaged 6.3 mm mono jacks on instrument cables
• Building custom mono cables for electric guitars and basses
• Hardwiring mono connections for keyboards and electronic instruments
• Connecting mono line-level signals to amplifiers and mixers
• Professional audio repair and cable assembly tasks

Key specifications

• Connector type: mono 6.3 mm (1/4") jack, tip-sleeve configuration
• Contact finish: gold-plated contact surfaces for improved conductivity
• Housing material: metal for enhanced mechanical strength
• Mounting/termination: solder-type assembly for secure cable attachment
• Compatibility: standard mono instrument and line-level jacks

How to use

Prepare the cable by stripping the outer jacket and insulation to expose the tip (signal) and sleeve (ground) conductors. Tin the exposed wires and the connector solder terminals with appropriate solder to facilitate a solid joint. Insert the conductors into the corresponding terminals on the connector (tip to signal, sleeve to ground) and solder them carefully, avoiding excessive heat. Reassemble the metal housing and confirm mechanical strain relief before testing the connection with the intended audio device.

Recommendations

Use appropriate solder and a temperature-controlled soldering iron to prevent damage to the connector. Verify polarity and continuity with a multimeter after assembly. For stage or touring use, ensure the cable assembly includes strain relief and secure cable routing to minimize stress on the connector and prevent premature wear.
