Optotec IP68 Outdoor Dome Closure Compact 144 kuitua FTTx (FOCUS-CODC2-AA)

The FOCUS-CODC2-AA stands out as a compact dome closure engineered for demanding outdoor fibre networks. Its IP68-rated housing protects up to 144 splices in aerial, duct, or direct-buried installations, while the re-enterable mechanical sealing system simplifies maintenance without specialised tooling.

Highlights

• Supports up to 144 fibres using 12× 12-fibre or 6× 24-fibre splice trays
• IP68 ingress protection for submerged or harsh outdoor environments
• Multi-port cable entry: 1 oval port (2 cables up to Ø25 mm) and 4 round ports (8 cables up to Ø15 mm)
• UV-stabilised thermoplastic body withstands prolonged sun exposure
• Operating temperature range from -40°C to +70°C

In daily use

Technicians appreciate the closure's compact form and flexible mounting options—pole, wall, manhole, or direct burial. The mechanical seal allows repeated re-entry for network upgrades, and the dome design keeps splice trays organised and accessible. With support for both fusion and mechanical splices, it adapts to various FTTx deployment scenarios.
