How to use

Place the QNAP QHora-301W in a central location to maximize wireless coverage. Connect one of the 10GbE ports to your modem or primary WAN source; the ports can be configured as WAN or LAN depending on network design. Power on the router and complete initial setup using the QNAP management interface or the recommended setup utility, following on-screen instructions to configure SSIDs, security (WPA3/WPA2 as supported by client devices), and IP settings. If extending a mesh network, follow the mesh setup procedure to add additional nodes and optimize placement for seamless roaming.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, keep router firmware updated, place the device away from large metal objects and sources of interference, and use the 10GbE ports for bandwidth-intensive wired devices or uplinks. When connecting many client devices, enable MU-MIMO and OFDMA features and segment traffic with VLANs or QoS rules where appropriate.
