ROLINE USB-kaapeli 12.04.1077 20 m USB 3.2 Gen 1 musta

The ROLINE USB Cable 12.04.1077 20m USB 3.2 Gen 1 Black is a 20-metre USB A to USB A data cable designed for long-distance connections where a reliable 5 Gbit/s link is required. It supports USB 3.2 Gen 1 signaling (backward compatible with USB 2.0/1.1), enabling high-speed transfers over extended runs while maintaining a uniform black finish suitable for professional and studio environments.

Advantages

This cable offers a single-cable solution for extended USB A to USB A connections up to 20 m without intermediate hubs. With support for USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5 Gbit/s) throughput, it enables fast data synchronization and media streaming where shorter cables are impractical. The black jacket provides discreet appearance and resistance to visible wear in structured cabling and equipment installations.

Suitable for

• Connecting external storage devices and NAS units over a long run where a direct USB A link is required
• Linking peripheral equipment such as audio interfaces, mixers or capture devices to host systems across studio or rack setups
• Temporary or fixed installations in offices, labs or media production areas that need a long USB A data cable

Key specifications

• Connector type: USB A to USB A
• USB standard: USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5 Gbit/s), backward compatible with USB 2.0/1.1
• Cable length: 20 m
• Colour: Black

How to use

Connect one USB A end to the host device (computer or hub) and the other USB A end to the peripheral device. Ensure both devices are powered as required; some peripherals may need external power when operating over long cable runs. After connection, allow the host operating system to detect the peripheral and install any necessary drivers. For best results, avoid sharp bends and kinks in the cable and route it away from high-interference sources.

Recommendations

For sustained high-speed transfers and stable operation, use the cable for data-only connections and verify device power requirements. When connecting bus-powered devices over long distances, consider adding external power or a powered USB hub near the peripheral. Keep the cable away from mains power lines and large electrical motors to minimise electromagnetic interference.
