Samyang AF 35mm F1.4 FE II vakio-objektiivi musta Sonyille

The Samyang AF 35mm F1.4 FE II is a standard prime lens for Sony mirrorless (Sony FE) cameras, offering a bright maximum aperture of F1.4 and a compact, versatile design. With an optical construction of 11 elements in 9 groups and a closest focusing distance of 0.29 m, the lens delivers high image quality, natural bokeh and a maximum magnification of 0.18x. The second-generation model adds improved autofocus performance, user controls and increased reliability compared with the previous version.

Advantages

The lens provides excellent image performance even wide open at F1.4, producing smooth background blur and good subject separation. An STM autofocus motor delivers faster, quieter and more accurate AF suitable for both stills and video. Additional controls — a custom switch and a focus hold button — improve handling and let users tailor the lens to their shooting workflow. The lens is compact and lightweight for its class, making it convenient for everyday use.

How to use

Mount the lens on a Sony FE camera body until it locks into place. Use the camera's aperture and exposure settings to take advantage of the F1.4 maximum aperture for shallow depth of field and low-light shooting. For autofocus, rely on the STM motor; use single or continuous AF modes from the camera menu depending on subject movement. Use the custom switch to assign a preferred function and the focus hold button to lock focus during composition or when switching between subjects.

Recommendations

For best results when shooting wide open at f/1.4, focus carefully on the subject and allow sufficient distance to the background to maximize bokeh. When recording video, enable silent or smooth AF modes on the camera and use the focus hold button to prevent unwanted refocusing during takes.
