Siivilä GEFU PASSO 230 mm Inox — ruostumaton teräs keittiösiivilä 230 mm

GEFU PASSO 230 mm Inox is a stainless steel kitchen sieve with a 230 mm diameter designed for common kitchen tasks such as sifting flour, straining sauces, and rinsing small ingredients. Constructed from inox (stainless steel), this sieve combines corrosion resistance and straightforward maintenance, making it suitable for frequent use in home kitchens and light professional environments. The open rim and fine mesh provide even sifting and controlled straining while the compact size suits everyday preparation and small-batch cooking.

Advantages

The stainless steel construction ensures durability and resistance to rust, maintaining hygiene during food preparation. Its 230 mm diameter balances capacity and control, allowing efficient sifting and straining without occupying excessive counter or storage space. The fine mesh produces consistent results for dry and wet ingredients, and the smooth surface facilitates quick cleaning by hand or in the dishwasher. The sieve's design supports multi-function use in baking, sauce preparation, and ingredient rinsing.

Suitable for

• Sifting flour and dry baking ingredients
• Straining sauces, soups, and gravies
• Rinsing small items like berries, herbs, or grains
• Separating lumps from mixtures and aerating dry ingredients

Key specifications

• Material: stainless steel (inox)
• Diameter: 230 mm
• Mesh type: fine mesh suitable for both dry and wet ingredients
• Finish: smooth, corrosion-resistant surface for hygiene and easy cleaning
• Intended use: home cooking and light professional tasks

How to use

Hold the sieve above a bowl or pot and pour the ingredient into the center of the mesh. For sifting flour, gently shake or tap the rim to pass dry ingredients through the fine mesh. For straining sauces or soups, pour the liquid through the sieve and use a spoon or spatula to press solids gently against the mesh to extract more liquid. For rinsing small items, place them in the sieve and run water through the mesh while holding it over the sink. After use, rinse immediately to remove residue and wash by hand or place in the top rack of a dishwasher according to the manufacturer's guidance.

Recommendations

To preserve the sieve's performance and appearance, avoid prolonged exposure to strong acids or salts and allow the sieve to dry completely before storage. For stubborn residues, soak briefly in warm soapy water before cleaning. Use the sieve within its size and mesh limitations—avoid forcing large, hard items through the mesh to prevent deformation.
