Tether Tools CU5454 USB-kaapeli 4,6 m USB 3.2 Gen 1 Micro-USB B oranssi

The Tether Tools CU5454 is a 4.6 m orange USB 3.2 Gen 1 (USB 3.1 Gen 1) cable with USB A to Micro-USB B connectors, designed for fast, reliable data transfer up to 5 Gbit/s. Built to professional USB specifications, this SuperSpeed cable is intended for tethered photography and videography where extended reach and consistent connectivity are required.

Advantages

The cable is constructed to high USB standards with full shielding to reduce signal noise and transmission errors, ensuring consistent conductivity and reliable performance. Its bright orange colour improves visibility on set, and the Micro‑B connector supports SuperSpeed transfers. When used with appropriate accessories such as a TetherBlock or TetherBoost Pro, the CU5454 helps maintain a stable connection over extended tethering setups.

Suitable for

• Tethered photography and studio shoots
• On‑location videography requiring extended cable length
• Connecting cameras or digital backs with Micro‑USB B ports to computers
• Setups where visible, durable cabling is preferred

Key specifications

• Connectors: USB A to Micro‑USB B
• USB version: USB 3.2 Gen 1 (SuperSpeed, up to 5 Gbit/s)
• Cable length: 4.6 m
• Colour: Orange

How to use

Connect the USB A end to your computer and the Micro‑USB B end to the camera or digital back. For tethered shooting, route the cable to avoid strain on the camera connector and, when possible, secure it with a camera support such as a JerkStopper or TetherBlock to prevent accidental disconnection from shallow USB 3.0/3.2 ports. If your tether distance exceeds 4.6 m, follow USB specifications for active extensions and consider using a TetherBoost Pro for power regulation.

Recommendations

For the most stable tethered connection use the CU5454 with a TetherBlock or JerkStopper to relieve connector strain and add a TetherBoost Pro Core Controller when using long runs or when the camera requires regulated power to prevent USB connectivity issues.
