Verkkokaapeli ShiverPeaks BS75511-Y-SET5

The ShiverPeaks BS75511-Y-SET5 is a 1 m Cat7 networking cable designed for high-speed wired connections. It features S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and maintain consistent signal quality over short distances. The cable is terminated with RJ-45 connectors plated in gold to improve contact reliability and corrosion resistance. The yellow jacket provides easy visual identification and can be used to color-code network runs in offices or home setups.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding combines an overall foil shield with individual pair braiding to minimize crosstalk and external noise, supporting stable data transfer. Cat7 performance supports high bandwidth and is suitable for gigabit and multi-gigabit applications within typical cable length limits. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors offer durable contact surfaces and low contact resistance for reliable connections. The 1 m length is practical for short patch connections between switches, routers, patch panels, and workstations without excess cable slack.

Suitable for

• Short-distance connections between network equipment (switch-to-switch, switch-to-router).
• Patching between wall outlets and desktop devices in offices or home networks.
• Color-coded cabling schemes in small server rooms or multimedia installations.
• High-speed Ethernet links where shielded cabling is required to reduce interference.

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat7, designed for high-bandwidth Ethernet applications.
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil shield with individually foil- or braid-shielded pairs) for reduced EMI and crosstalk.
• Length: 1 meter, suitable for short patching runs.
• Connectors: RJ-45 plugs with gold plating for improved contact and corrosion resistance.
• Jacket color: Yellow for easy identification and color-coding.
• Conductor type: Twisted pairs (typical for Cat7 structured cabling).

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to your network device (for example a switch, router, or network interface on a PC) and the other end to the corresponding port on the opposite device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to secure the connection. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and sources of strong electromagnetic interference such as heavy electrical equipment. For fixed installations, label both ends if used in structured cabling to simplify maintenance and troubleshooting.

Recommendations

Use the ShiverPeaks Cat7 cable for patching short links where shielded cabling is beneficial. Avoid running the cable parallel to high-voltage power lines and keep bend radius within manufacturer guidelines to preserve performance. For longer runs or permanent in-wall installations, consult local cabling standards and consider appropriate in-wall rated cabling.
