Verkkokaapeli Goobay 74164 USB A RJ-45 Cat6 15 m valkoinen

The Goobay 74164 networking cable is a 15 m USB A to RJ-45 Cat6 cable in white that provides a compact Ethernet solution for USB-A devices without a built-in network port. The cable features F/UTP shielding, nickel-plated contacts and an integrated smart chip in the USB plug that enables immediate Ethernet connectivity without additional drivers, supporting up to 1000 Mbit/s.

Advantages

This USB A RJ-45 Cat6 cable simplifies wired network connection for laptops, mini-PCs and other USB-A devices by replacing bulky adapters. The F/UTP shielding improves signal integrity in environments with electromagnetic interference, while nickel-plated contacts increase durability and ensure stable electrical contact. The integrated smart chip eliminates the need for extra drivers, allowing plug-and-play use.

Suitable for

• Connecting USB-A laptops to wired Ethernet
• Providing a stable network link for mini-PCs and thin clients
• Temporary or permanent wired connections in offices and home networks
• Environments where Wi‑Fi is unreliable or restricted

How to use

Connect the USB A plug to a USB-A port on your device and the RJ-45 connector to a network socket or switch. The built-in smart chip handles interface conversion so no additional drivers are required on most operating systems; after plugging in, the system should recognise the Ethernet connection and acquire an IP address automatically via DHCP or allow manual network configuration.

Recommendations

For best performance, avoid tightly coiling the cable and keep it away from strong electromagnetic sources. Use Cat6 or better network infrastructure on the network side to achieve the maximum supported data rate.
