BlueOptics CAB-OM3-SC-LC-7.5M-BO kuituoptinen kaapeli OM3 7,5 m

The BlueOptics CAB-OM3-SC-LC-7.5M-BO Fibre Optic Cable OM3 7.5m is a 7.5 metre multimode patch cable with LC/UPC to SC/UPC connectors. Designed for high-speed optical links, this OM3 laser-optimized multimode fibre cable supports full-duplex connections between patch panels, transceivers and active equipment in data centres and office networks. The cable is sleeved in a low-smoke, zero-halogen (LSZH) jacket for reduced smoke and halogen emission in case of fire and is manufactured to meet common industrial standards for optical performance and component reliability.

Advantages

The cable uses laser-optimized OM3 multimode fibre to deliver low attenuation and high return loss across typical short-range data centre distances. Connectors are assembled with zirconia ceramic ferrules and branded fibre and connector components to ensure consistent mating performance and long service life. Each cable is tested with interferometer and OTDR methods and supplied with measured input loss and return loss values, providing traceable quality data for installations.

How to use

Route the BlueOptics OM3 cable between the LC port on a transceiver or device and the SC port on a patch panel or switch. Ensure connectors are clean and free of dust before mating; use appropriate fibre end-face cleaning tools if required. Gently insert each connector until it clicks or seats fully, avoiding excessive bending or tight radii on the fibre. For duplex links, confirm correct transmit/receive orientation. Follow normal site safety and handling procedures when installing inside racks or conduits.

Recommendations

Store and install the cable without sharp bends; observe the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius. Use dust caps during handling and keep connector end faces clean. For critical links, verify optical loss with the supplied measurement protocol or perform a new insertion-loss test after installation. Choose OM3 multimode cable for short- to medium-range high-speed applications and follow equipment vendor guidance for transceiver compatibility.
