BlueOptics CBL-MPO12-4LC-OM4-3M-BO InfiniBand-kuituoptinen kaapeli 4x LC MPO 3 m

The BlueOptics CBL-MPO12-4LC-OM4-3M-BO is a 3 m InfiniBand fibre optic cable featuring an MPO connector on one end and four LC duplex connectors on the other. It uses OM4 laser-optimized multimode fibre with a 50 µm core diameter to support full-duplex high-speed data transmission between patch panels, transceivers and active equipment. The cable is fitted with a low-smoke, zero-halogen (LSZH) sheath and is intended for data centre and enterprise optical interconnects where compact MPO-to-LC fanout cabling is required.

Advantages

This MPO to 4×LC OM4 cable provides high bandwidth capacity and low attenuation suitable for short- to medium-reach multimode links. The OM4 multimode fibre supports higher data rates and improved modal bandwidth compared with standard multimode types. The 3 m length offers a balance between reach and manageability in rack and patch-panel environments, and the LSZH jacket reduces halogen emissions and smoke in case of fire. Connectors and ferrules are manufactured to industry standards to ensure stable insertion and return loss characteristics for compatible optical systems.

Suitable for

• Data centre MPO trunk to LC patch panel connections
• Connecting MPO-enabled transceivers to LC duplex ports
• InfiniBand and high-speed multimode optical links
• Short- to medium-reach multimode links in enterprise networks

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM4 multimode fibre, 50 µm core diameter
• Connectors: MPO (multi-fibre) to 4× LC duplex
• Length: 3 metres
• Duplex operation: full duplex support via LC pairs
• Jacket: LSZH (low-smoke, zero-halogen)
• Typical applications: MPO fanout, patching between panels and transceivers

How to use

Route the cable between the MPO-enabled trunk or cassette and the LC patch panel or transceiver ports, taking care to maintain the specified bend radius for multimode fibre to avoid increased attenuation. Align and insert the MPO connector into the MPO port and secure the LC duplex connectors into the corresponding LC sockets. Ensure polarity and channel mapping are correct before powering equipment. After installation, verify link integrity and optical loss values using appropriate test equipment or consult the supplied measurement protocol if provided with the cable.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress; maintain bend radius consistent with manufacturer guidance. Use the 3 m length for tidy rack-to-rack or cassette-to-panel runs and choose OM4 multimode cabling where higher modal bandwidth is required for short-reach high-speed applications.
