DELOCK PCI Express 4.0 x16 -kortti 2x M.2 Key M NVMe -paikkaan

The DELOCK PCI Express 4.0 x16 card to 2x M.2 Key M NVMe slots is an adapter card that adds two M.2 Key M NVMe interfaces to a compatible desktop system via a PCIe 4.0 x16 slot. It enables connection of two NVMe SSDs for storage expansion, allowing the drives to operate as independent volumes or as an array when supported by the system BIOS or operating system. The adapter is designed for desktop workstations and gaming PCs that require additional high-throughput, low-latency storage without replacing existing drives.

Advantages

This PCI Express 4.0 x16 adapter provides direct NVMe connectivity through the motherboard PCIe bus, offering the potential for higher sequential and random throughput compared with many SATA-based solutions when used with PCIe 4.0-capable platforms. Because it accepts two M.2 Key M NVMe modules, it supports straightforward capacity expansion and flexible storage configurations. Installation in a standard PCIe x16 slot avoids the need for dedicated M.2 motherboard slots and allows adding NVMe storage to systems with limited onboard connectors.

Suitable for

• Workstation systems needing additional NVMe SSDs for project files, virtual machines, or databases
• Gaming PCs that require extra fast storage for game installs and load-time reduction
• Systems used for video editing or 3D rendering where high sustained throughput is beneficial
• Users who want to add NVMe drives when motherboard M.2 slots are occupied or absent

Key specifications

• Interface: PCI Express 4.0 x16 host connection
• Device slots: 2 × M.2 Key M NVMe slots
• Supported device type: M.2 NVMe SSDs (Key M)
• Use case: Add-on adapter for NVMe storage expansion in desktop PCs

How to use

Power down the desktop and disconnect mains power before installation. Insert the adapter into an available PCIe x16 slot on the motherboard and secure it to the chassis. Install M.2 Key M NVMe SSDs into the card’s M.2 sockets following the module alignment and screw points; secure each module with the appropriate mounting hardware. Reconnect power and boot the system; enter the BIOS/UEFI to confirm device detection and configure drive mode (individual drives or RAID) if the motherboard or controller firmware supports it. Install or update NVMe drivers in the operating system as required.

Recommendations

Use compatible M.2 Key M NVMe modules and ensure your motherboard and CPU platform support PCIe 4.0 for maximum performance. Check BIOS/UEFI options and motherboard documentation for NVMe device handling and RAID support. Allow adequate airflow across installed SSDs to maintain thermal performance under sustained workloads.
