DeLOCK PCI Express 4.0 x8 -kortti 2 x sisäinen U.2 NVMe SFF-8639 Bifurcation

This PCI Express 4.0 x8 card by DeLOCK provides two internal U.2 NVMe SFF-8639 ports, enabling the connection of up to two 2.5" U.2 SSDs to a compatible PC. The card uses a passive cooling design and is intended for systems that support PCIe bifurcation; without bifurcation only the first SFF-8639 port is available.

Advantages

The adapter expands a desktop or workstation with two internal U.2 interfaces while occupying a single PCIe 4.0 x8 slot. Passive cooling reduces moving parts and noise. The card is compatible with standard PCIe host interfaces and supports U.2 NVMe drives in 2.5" format, allowing higher storage density and NVMe performance when the motherboard provides PCIe bifurcation.

How to use

Install the card into an available PCIe 4.0 x8 slot on a compatible motherboard. Enable PCIe bifurcation in the system BIOS/UEFI so the PCIe lanes are split across the two U.2 ports; if bifurcation is not enabled or not supported by the motherboard, only the first SFF-8639 port will function. Connect U.2 NVMe SSDs to the internal SFF-8639 ports, secure drives in the chassis, and install or verify NVMe drivers and OS support (e.g., Windows 10/11) as required.

Recommendations

Ensure your motherboard supports PCIe bifurcation and that BIOS settings are configured before installation. Use compatible 2.5" U.2 NVMe SSDs and verify operating system NVMe support for optimal performance.
