The Kindermann HDMI Socket Outlet 7457 000 542 in anthracite plastic is a recessed wall socket designed to provide a clean, fixed HDMI connection for displays, projectors and AV equipment. With a shallow installation depth of 5.2 cm, the outlet fits into standard mounting boxes and wall cavities while offering a durable plastic faceplate in anthracite that resists everyday wear. The socket provides a stable interface for HDMI cables, supporting the transmission of both high-definition video and multi-channel audio between source devices and displays.

Advantages

The outlet’s compact depth simplifies installation in confined wall spaces and retrofit projects. Its plastic construction combines light weight with impact resistance and reduces the risk of corrosion compared with metallic alternatives. How to use

Install the HDMI socket outlet by mounting it into a compatible recessed wall box according to local electrical and building regulations. Secure the housing and connect the internal HDMI wiring or pigtail to the socket’s terminals as required by the installation method. After fastening the faceplate, plug a standard HDMI cable into the outlet and connect the other end to the display or source device. Ensure cable routing avoids sharp bends and excessive tension to maintain signal integrity.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use high-quality HDMI cables rated for the resolution and feature set required (for example, HDMI 2.0/2.1 capabilities for 4K/8K signals). Verify wall box depth and unobstructed cable routing before installation, and follow local codes when performing wiring work. Consider labeling in multi-port installations to simplify maintenance and device identification.
