Kuitukaapeli Helos 20 m OM3 LC/LC

The Helos 20m OM3 LC/LC fibre optic cable is a 20-metre multimode patch cable designed for high-speed data transmission in network and data centre environments. With a 50 µm core diameter and OM3 specification, it supports full duplex communication via LC connectors on both ends. The cable's turquoise jacket provides clear visual identification for organised cabling and easy tracing in multi-cable runs.

Advantages

This OM3 fibre cable offers low attenuation and stable multimode performance suitable for short to medium distance links. The LC/LC connector pair enables compact, high-density connections in switch panels and transceiver modules. The 20 metre length balances reach and manageability, reducing the need for additional patching equipment while keeping slack manageable. The turquoise colour follows common multimode colour conventions and aids quick identification during installation and maintenance.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches, routers and servers within racks or between adjacent racks
• Patch panel to transceiver links in data centres
• High-speed multimode links for 10GbE and short-reach fibre applications
• Structured cabling installations requiring OM3 performance

Key specifications

• Fibre type: Multimode OM3
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: LC to LC, duplex
• Length: 20 metres
• Jacket colour: Turquoise
• Suitable for 10 Gigabit Ethernet (short-reach multimode links)

How to use

Inspect both LC connectors and the port interfaces for dust or damage before connecting. Align the LC connectors with the device ports and insert until the latch engages; ensure full duplex orientation is maintained by matching transmit and receive pairs. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress, maintaining the minimum bend radius specified by OM3 multimode practice. If necessary, use cable management accessories to secure the run and avoid strain at connector ends.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, keep connector endfaces clean using appropriate fibre cleaning tools and avoid exceeding recommended bend radii. Use this OM3 LC/LC cable for short to medium distance multimode links and pair it with compatible LC transceivers and patch panels designed for 10GbE and similar applications.
