Kuitukaapeli Helos 7,5 m OM3 LC/SC

The Helos 7.5m OM3 LC/SC fibre optic cable is a multimode patch cable designed for high-speed data transmission in network and data centre environments. It features a 50 µm core diameter OM3 fibre, factory-terminated with an LC connector on one end and an SC connector on the other, and supports full duplex communication. The cable’s 7.5 metre length and distinctive turquoise jacket make it suitable for organized routing and easy identification within racks and cable trays.

Advantages

This OM3 multimode fibre cable provides low attenuation and stable signal performance for short- to medium-range links. The LC and SC connectors offer a balance of compact space-saving (LC) and robust, easy-to-handle termination (SC). The 50 µm core supports higher bandwidth and laser-optimized performance compared with standard multimode types, making it appropriate for 10 Gigabit Ethernet links over typical data centre distances. The pre-installed connectors reduce installation time and help ensure consistent optical performance.

Suitable for

• Interconnecting network switches, servers and storage in data centres
• Patch panels and equipment bays requiring LC-to-SC connections
• Short- to medium-length 10 Gigabit Ethernet and multimode backbone links
• Organised cabling in telecom rooms and structured network installations

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM3 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector A: LC (single or duplex depending on assembly)
• Connector B: SC
• Length: 7.5 m
• Jacket colour: turquoise
• Mode: multimode, designed for laser-optimized performance
• Communication: supports full duplex links

How to use

Route the Helos 7.5m OM3 LC/SC cable along cable management pathways, avoiding sharp bends and excessive tension. Insert the LC connector into the LC port and the SC connector into the SC port, ensuring correct alignment and secure seating. For duplex links, ensure transmit and receive pairs are connected in the correct orientation. Verify optical power and link status using suitable test equipment after installation to confirm signal integrity.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable to prevent kinking; maintain bend radius recommended for multimode fibre and protect connector end faces with dust caps until installation. Use fibre cleaning tools before mating connectors and perform optical loss measurements where link certification is required.
