Kuitukaapeli Helos 3 m OM3 LC/SC

The Helos 3m OM3 LC/SC fibre optic cable is a multimode patch lead designed for high-speed data transmission between devices with LC and SC terminations. With a 50 µm core diameter and OM3 grading, the cable supports full duplex communication and is suitable for modern network infrastructures where low-loss, high-bandwidth links are required over short to medium distances. The 3 meter length provides flexibility for rack, cabinet, and equipment interconnects while maintaining signal integrity.

Advantages

The OM3 classification delivers improved bandwidth and laser-optimized performance compared to lower graded multimode cables, which helps maintain signal quality for 10GbE and other high-speed applications. The LC and SC connectors offer a compact LC termination for space-constrained ports and a durable SC termination for easy insertion and removal. Full duplex capability enables simultaneous bidirectional data flow, reducing latency in active network links.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Connecting switches, servers, and storage devices in data centers and server rooms
• Patch panel to active equipment connections in structured cabling systems
• High-speed LAN and campus backbone links over short to medium distances
• Environments requiring low insertion loss and stable multimode performance

Key specifications

• Length: 3 m
• Fiber type: Multimode OM3
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector A: LC (single or duplex as applicable)
• Connector B: SC
• Transmission: Full duplex

How to use

Inspect connector end faces for dust or contamination before installation and, if necessary, clean with appropriate fibre optic cleaning tools. Route the cable along existing cable management paths, avoiding sharp bends and excessive pulling force; maintain bend radii recommended for multimode fibre to prevent signal degradation. Insert the LC and SC connectors into the corresponding ports until they click or seat securely. Verify link status on network equipment and run standard fibre optic validation tests where required.

Recommendations

Store the cable coiled without tight loops, protect connector end faces with dust caps when not in use, and avoid exposing the cable to mechanical stress or harsh chemicals. For optimal performance in 10GbE and similar applications, keep link lengths within OM3 multimode recommendations and perform regular inspection and cleaning of connectors.
