MEAN WELL IMC Networks SD-15A-12 DC-DC-muunnin 15W 12V 1,25A

The SD-15A-12 stands out as a rugged DC-DC converter engineered for industrial environments where reliable 12V power is non-negotiable. Unlike generic open-frame modules, this unit is housed in a sturdy metal case and accepts a wide 19.2–30V DC input, making it ideal for battery-powered systems, vehicle electronics, and automation panels. Its convection-cooled design eliminates fan noise and moving parts, ensuring silent, maintenance-free operation.

Highlights

• Wide 2:1 input range: 19.2–30V DC
• Regulated 12V DC output at up to 1.25A (15W)
• High efficiency up to 74%
• Built-in protections: short circuit, overload, over voltage
• 1500V AC input-to-output isolation
• Compact chassis-mount metal case with screw terminals
• Operating temperature from -10°C to +60°C
• Complies with UL60950-1, TUV EN60950-1, CB, CE

In daily use

Installation is straightforward: connect your DC source to the input screw terminals and your load to the output terminals. The converter maintains tight line and load regulation (±0.5% and ±1.0% respectively), ensuring stable voltage even with fluctuating input. Low ripple and noise (120mVp-p) make it suitable for sensitive electronics. The metal housing provides mechanical protection and aids heat dissipation, while the free-air convection cooling keeps the unit silent.
