Optinen mikrokaapeli FIBERHOME 2,5 mm 4FO G.657A1 PE oranssi 4 km rumpu

Optical Micro Cable FIBERHOME 2.5mm 4FO G.657A1 PE Orange on 4 km Drum is a single-mode micro cable with a compact 2.5 mm outer diameter that contains four optical fibers. The fibers meet ITU-T G.657A1 bending performance, providing low bend loss in tight routing environments. The cable is sheathed in polyethylene (PE) for mechanical protection and environmental resistance, and is supplied in a high-visibility orange jacket wound on a 4 km drum for long-length deployments.

Advantages

The small 2.5 mm diameter reduces space requirements and simplifies installation in microducts, shallow trenches, and confined cable trays. G.657A1 bend performance ensures reliable signal transmission in tight bends and around corners. The PE outer sheath offers durability against moisture and mechanical abrasion, while the orange color improves identification during network construction and maintenance. A 4 km drum minimizes splicing points and reduces the need for intermediate joints in long-distance FTTH distribution runs.

Suitable for

• Fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) drop and distribution lines
• Microduct and duct installations with limited space
• Indoor/outdoor transitions and riser pathways
• Direct burial in shallow trenches where small diameter is required
• Long continuous runs where fewer splices are preferred

Key specifications

• Fiber type: single-mode, compliant with G.657A1 bending performance
• Number of fibers: 4 optical fibers
• Outer diameter: 2.5 mm
• Sheath material: polyethylene (PE)
• Jacket color: orange
• Packaged length: 4 km on a drum

How to use

Route the micro cable through prepared microducts, conduits, or shallow trenches following local installation practices and safety rules. Use proper blowing, pulling, or pushing equipment suited for 2.5 mm micro cables to avoid excessive tensile load and bending beyond recommended limits. Secure cable ends and protect exposed fibers during termination and splicing. When burying directly, ensure appropriate warning tape and backfill procedures are followed to protect the cable from mechanical damage.

Recommendations

Maintain bend radii in accordance with G.657A1 guidance to preserve low-loss performance; avoid sharp kinks and sustained tight wraps. Limit pulling tension to values specified by the manufacturer's installation sheet, and use fiber-friendly rollers and guides when routing. Store and handle the 4 km drum on a proper support to prevent drum deformation and cable damage during unspooling.
