Pistosaha Metabo Powermaxx SSE 12 BL

The Metabo Powermaxx SSE 12 BL jigsaw is a compact cordless cutting tool designed for precise, portable work. It delivers an idle stroke rate of up to 3000 strokes per minute and a stroke length of 16 mm, enabling efficient cutting performance across a variety of materials. With a barrel grip and a lightweight construction of approximately 1.7 kg, this jigsaw gives good maneuverability and control for one-handed or two-handed operation. The tool is battery-powered and supplied with two 2.0 Ah lithium-ion batteries, allowing extended runtime and quick swap between cells. A measured sound power level of 89 dB provides an indication of noise exposure during operation.

Advantages

The jigsaw combines high no-load stroke rate and a 16 mm stroke length to balance cutting speed and smoothness. Its compact, lightweight design with a barrel grip supports comfortable handling during prolonged tasks and in constrained spaces. Battery operation removes the need for a power cable, increasing mobility on job sites and in workshops. Two included lithium-ion batteries extend continuous use and reduce downtime for recharging. The 89 dB sound power level is documented to help plan hearing protection and comply with workplace noise considerations.

Suitable for

• Straight and curved cuts in wood and plywood
• Cutting laminate and panel materials
• On-site carpentry and renovation tasks where cordless mobility is needed
• Detail work requiring a compact, easy-to-control saw

Key specifications

• No-load stroke rate: up to 3000 strokes per minute
• Stroke length: 16 mm
• Weight: approximately 1.7 kg (tool only, with battery varies)
• Grip type: barrel grip for enhanced control
• Power source: 12 V lithium-ion battery
• Battery capacity supplied: 2.0 Ah (two batteries included)

How to use

Install a compatible jigsaw blade according to the manufacturer's blade-change procedure, ensuring the tool is switched off and batteries are removed before changing blades. Fit a fully charged 12 V lithium-ion battery and set the saw to the appropriate speed for the material being cut. Use a steady feed and allow the tool's stroke rate and stroke length to do the cutting without forcing the blade. Maintain a firm barrel grip and support the workpiece to reduce vibration and improve accuracy. After use, remove the battery and store the tool and batteries in a dry, ventilated place.

Recommendations

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye protection and hearing protection, when operating the jigsaw. Choose blades matched to the material and desired finish; finer-tooth blades for smooth cuts and coarser blades for faster material removal. Monitor battery charge level and carry a spare battery to minimize interruptions on longer jobs. Regularly inspect blades and replace them when worn to maintain cutting performance and reduce stress on the motor.
