ROLINE InfiniBand/kuitu-kaapeli 7 m 2x LC violetti OM4

The ROLINE InfiniBand/fibre optic cable 7 m 2x LC Violet OM4 (MPN 21.15.9266, EAN 7630049620070) is a 7-metre duplex fibre optic assembly with two LC connectors and OM4 multimode fibre (50 µm core). The LC connector's small form factor enables high port density in patch panels and distribution frames, while the violet-coloured, extra-thin cable with a 1.2 mm straight profile provides a compact routing option for data centre and networking installations.

Advantages

The cable combines OM4 multimode performance with LC duplex connectors to support high-speed InfiniBand and Ethernet links over moderate distances. Its 1.2 mm diameter jacket reduces cable bulk in dense cabling environments and simplifies cable management. The duplex configuration ensures full-duplex communication suitable for modern networking equipment.

Suitable for

• Data centre server-to-switch or switch-to-switch links
• Storage area networks (SAN) and InfiniBand interconnects
• High-density patch panels and distribution frames
• Short- to medium-distance multimode fibre runs within buildings

How to use

Route the cable between LC-compatible transceivers, patch panels or appliance ports, ensuring proper bend radius to avoid attenuation. Insert each LC connector until it latches; confirm secure seating and that duplex orientation matches the transmit/receive pairing on connected devices. Use appropriate labelling and secure the cable to cable management accessories to maintain orderly runs in racks or cabinets.

Recommendations

Use this OM4 LC duplex cable for short- to medium-range multimode links in data centres and networking closets; avoid tight bends and maintain manufacturer-recommended minimum bend radii to preserve signal performance.
