ROLINE InfiniBand/kuituoptinen kaapeli 2 m 2x LC vihreä OM5 50 µm

The ROLINE InfiniBand/fibre optic cable 2m 2x LC Green OM5 50µm is a multimode fibre patch cable designed for high-speed, full-duplex data transmission in networking environments. With a 2 metre length and two LC connectors, this OM5 50 µm cable is intended for short- to medium-range links in data centers, server rooms and high-performance computing clusters where low latency and high bandwidth are required.

Advantages

This OM5 multimode cable supports wideband transmission and is optimized for multiple wavelength operation, enabling higher aggregated throughput over short distances compared with older multimode fibres. The LC connectors provide a compact form factor that saves space in dense patch panels and optical transceivers. The green jacket color simplifies identification for OM5 links in mixed-fibre installations and helps maintain organized cable management.

Suitable for

• InfiniBand interconnects in high-performance computing environments
• Short-range fibre links between switches, servers and storage arrays
• Data centre patch panels and optical cross-connects
• Applications requiring full-duplex multimode optical communication

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM5 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: 2 x LC duplex
• Cable length: 2 m
• Jacket color: green (OM5 identification)
• Transmission mode: full duplex

How to use

Install the cable by aligning the LC connectors with the corresponding LC ports on transceivers, switches or patch panels and gently push until the latch engages. Ensure both ends are connected to compatible multimode LC interfaces and that the link is configured for full-duplex operation. Avoid tight bends and secure the cable along trays or guides to prevent stress on the fibre. When removing the cable, press the connector latch and pull straight out to avoid damaging the ferrule.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, use this OM5 cable for short- to medium-distance multimode links and verify compatibility with transceiver wavelength ranges. Keep connectors capped when not in use, clean endfaces before mating, and maintain bend radius guidelines to preserve signal integrity.
