USB-keskitin Terratec Connect c2

The Terratec Connect c2 is a compact USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C hub in a silver finish designed to expand connectivity for laptops and mobile devices with a USB-C port. Sized at 94mm × 22mm × 22mm and weighing approximately 45.5 g, this hub integrates high-speed USB Type-A ports and an RJ-45 Ethernet port while drawing power directly from the host device via USB. Compatibility covers common desktop and notebook platforms, providing a simple way to add wired network access and legacy USB peripherals to modern systems.

Advantages

The hub offers USB 3.2 Gen 1 data transfer performance for compatible devices combined with a dedicated RJ-45 interface for stable wired networking. Its slim silver housing is lightweight and portable, suitable for travel or desk use. As a bus-powered device, it requires no external power adapter, simplifying setup and reducing cable clutter. The inclusion of both Type-C connectivity to the host and Type-A ports for peripherals ensures broad compatibility with existing accessories.

Suitable for

• Adding wired Ethernet to ultrabooks and tablets without built-in LAN ports
• Connecting external USB Type-A devices such as flash drives, keyboards and mice
• Expanding connectivity for meetings, remote work and travel

How to use

Connect the Terratec Connect c2 to a host device using its USB Type-C connector. Plug Ethernet cable into the RJ-45 port for network access or attach USB Type-A peripherals to the available ports. The hub is bus-powered and typically requires no additional drivers on current Windows and macOS versions; follow any on-screen prompts for network or peripheral device configuration if they appear. Disconnect by safely ejecting storage devices from the host prior to unplugging when transferring data.

Recommendations

Use the hub on a flat, stable surface and avoid exposing it to liquids or extreme temperatures. For best network performance, use a quality Ethernet cable and ensure the host system’s USB-C port supports USB 3.2 Gen 1 speeds. When connecting high-power peripherals, monitor device behavior since the hub derives power from the host; consider using externally powered alternatives if multiple power-hungry devices are required.
