Verkkokytkin ERNITEC ELECTRA-M16-1GB-285W – 16-porttinen Layer 2+ 2 x Gigabit RJ45, 285 W teho

The ERNITEC ELECTRA-M16-1GB-285W is a 16-port Layer 2+ network switch with two Gigabit RJ45 uplink ports and a 285W power budget. Designed for small to medium-sized network environments, this switch provides wired connectivity for office workstations, point-of-sale systems, access points and IP cameras. The Layer 2+ feature set delivers essential traffic control, VLAN support and basic routing functions needed to segment and manage local networks while the generous power budget allows deployment of multiple powered devices without requiring additional midspan injectors.

Advantages

This switch combines a compact 16-port access fabric with two Gigabit uplinks to balance local connectivity and upstream throughput. The 285W power budget supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) or high-power devices and ensures stable operation under load. Layer 2+ capabilities enable VLAN tagging, basic inter-VLAN routing and traffic prioritization to improve network organization and performance. The device is intended for straightforward installation and ongoing management in small office, retail or branch scenarios.

Suitable for

• Office LANs connecting desktops, printers and IP phones
• Retail environments with POS terminals and inventory scanners
• Branch networks requiring VLAN segmentation and uplink redundancy
• Wireless access point aggregation and surveillance camera feeds

Key specifications

• Port count: 16 access ports plus 2 Gigabit RJ45 uplink ports
• Switching layer: Layer 2+ with VLAN and basic routing support
• Power budget: 285 W to supply powered devices over Ethernet
• Uplink speed: Gigabit Ethernet on two RJ45 ports
• Typical use: Small to medium-sized deployments for wired connectivity

How to use

Install the ERNITEC ELECTRA-M16-1GB-285W on a flat surface or in a cabinet according to the manufacturer’s mounting guidelines. Connect access devices to the 16 access ports and use the two Gigabit RJ45 ports for uplink connections to routers or aggregation switches. Configure VLANs, QoS and any available Layer 2+ routing options through the switch management interface to match your network design. When deploying powered devices, verify total PoE consumption does not exceed the 285W budget and distribute high-power devices across ports to avoid overloading a single power rail.

Recommendations

Plan port allocation and VLANs before installation to simplify configuration. Monitor power draw from connected PoE devices and reserve headroom for future expansion. Use the Gigabit uplinks for connection to higher-tier network equipment to ensure adequate upstream bandwidth for aggregated traffic.
