Wentronic Goobay 59629 OS2 yksimuotokuitupatchkaapeli LC/APC–LC/APC, 2 m, keltainen LSZH

With an insertion loss below 0.2 dB and return loss exceeding 60 dB, this OS2 single-mode patch cable delivers the clean, low-attenuation signal path that FTTH and high-speed backbone links demand. The angled APC polish on both LC connectors virtually eliminates back reflections, making it the right choice for GPON, RF overlay, and other reflection-sensitive fibre architectures.

Overview

The Goobay 59629 is a simplex fibre optic patch cable built for permanent installations and patching in fibre distribution frames, ONTs, and optical network terminals. It pairs LC/APC connectors on each end with a 2-metre, 3 mm diameter yellow LSZH jacket. The OS2 fibre is optimised for 1310 nm and 1550 nm wavelengths, covering the full spectrum of single-mode applications from 1G to 100G and beyond, depending on the transceivers used.

What stands out

• Angled Physical Contact (APC) polish on both connectors for return loss >60 dB, minimising signal reflections in analogue and high-power systems.
• Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) jacket that emits minimal smoke and toxic fumes in the event of fire, meeting strict public-building safety codes.
• Simplex construction with a compact 3 mm diameter, allowing high-density routing without excessive bend radius concerns.
• Yellow jacket colour immediately identifies the cable as single-mode OS2, preventing accidental mixing with multimode patch cords.

Our verdict

A dependable, standards-compliant OS2 patch cord for FTTH and carrier-grade installations. The APC polish and LSZH jacket address the two most common pain points in fibre deployment: reflections and fire safety. If you need a short, reliable link between an ONT and a wall outlet, this cable gets the job done without compromise.
