ACT 15 metriä monimuotokuitu 50/125 OM4 polariteetti A kuitupatchkaapeli MTP-liittimellä

The ACT 15 meter Multimode 50/125 OM4 fiber patch cable with MTP female connectors is designed for high-density, high-bandwidth optical networks. With a 50 µm core and OM4 graded-index multimode fiber, this 15 m patch cable supports fast data transmission and reduced modal dispersion for short- to medium-reach links. The Polarity A configuration provides a straight-through fiber mapping suitable for standard duplex and parallel transceiver connections, enabling straightforward deployment in data center and enterprise environments.

Advantages

This multimode OM4 cable offers low insertion loss and consistent optical performance across the link thanks to quality MTP female connectors and precisely controlled fiber geometry. The 50/125 core/cladding ratio is optimized for higher laser-based transmission speeds, while the 15 m length provides flexibility for equipment placement without excessive slack. Polarity A simplifies cabling layouts where standard straight-through fiber orientation is required, reducing the chance of mapping errors during installation.

Key specifications

• Fiber type: Multimode graded-index OM4
• Core/cladding diameter: 50/125 µm
• Connector type: MTP female to MTP female
• Polarity: A (straight-through mapping)
• Cable length: 15 meters
• Typical applications: Short- to medium-reach high-bandwidth links

How to use

Route the ACT 15 meter Multimode OM4 patch cable through the designated cable management trays or ducts to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress. Align each MTP female connector with the corresponding male or female adapter in the patch panel or transceiver cage, ensuring the polished endfaces remain clean. For Polarity A links, connect transmitter to receiver ports following the straight-through mapping; verify link status on network equipment and clean connectors prior to insertion to maintain low insertion loss and return loss performance.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable in a dry, dust-free environment; use fiber cleaning tools before each connection and maintain bend radius greater than the manufacturer’s minimum to preserve signal integrity. For deployments in high-density racks, label both ends clearly and document polarity to simplify future maintenance and troubleshooting.
