ACT 50 metrin LSZH monimuoto 50/125 OM2 kuitu-verkkokaapeli duplex ST-liitännöillä

The ACT 50 meter LSZH Multimode 50/125 OM2 fiber patch cable duplex with ST connectors is a 50 m duplex multimode fiber cable designed for short- to medium-range data transmission. It uses 50/125 µm multimode fiber rated OM2 and is terminated with ST connectors on both ends for reliable mechanical connection. The cable jacket is LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen), providing reduced toxic and corrosive emission in the event of fire. This makes the cable suitable for installations where safety and low smoke generation are a priority, while supporting full-duplex communication for networking and data centre links.

Advantages

The cable combines multimode OM2 fiber performance with ST connector simplicity, offering predictable optical behaviour for multimode links. The 50 meter length covers many in-building cabling needs without splices, and the LSZH jacket reduces the risk associated with smoke and halogen gases in enclosed environments. Full duplex duplexing is preterminated for easy deployment and helps maintain consistent signal paths for transmit and receive channels.

Suitable for

• In-building network backbone and lateral runs
• Campus and data centre short- to medium-length links
• Fiber connections between networking equipment with ST interfaces
• Environments where low smoke and zero halogen materials are required

Key specifications

• Fiber type: Multimode 50/125 µm, OM2
• Length: 50 meters
• Configuration: Duplex (two fibers)
• Connectors: ST connectors (both ends)
• Jacket material: LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen)

How to use

Route the duplex fiber cable along the planned pathway, avoiding tight bends and mechanical stress. Connect the ST connectors to corresponding ST ports on your network devices, ensuring proper alignment of the bayonet-style connector and secure coupling. Ensure both transmit and receive channels are correctly paired at each end to maintain full-duplex communication. Test the link with appropriate fiber test equipment to verify attenuation and continuity before placing the cable into permanent service.

Recommendations

Avoid sharp bends and kinks; follow the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius for multimode fiber. Keep connectors clean and protected when not in use, and perform post-installation testing to confirm signal performance. Use appropriate cable management and strain relief to prevent mechanical damage over time.
