ACT 10 metrin LSZH monimuotokuitu 50/125 OM2 -kuituverkkokaapeli duplex SC- ja ST-liittimillä

The ACT 10 meter LSZH Multimode 50/125 OM2 fiber patch cable duplex with SC and ST connectors provides a ready-made connection for short- to medium-range multimode networks. Constructed with OM2 graded 50/125 µm multimode fiber, the cable supports full duplex transmission and is intended for installations where reduced smoke and halogen-free materials are required. The combination of SC and ST terminations offers compatibility with a wide range of network equipment and patch panels used in data centers, wiring closets and campus networks.

Advantages

This duplex multimode patch cable is manufactured with LSZH jacket material to limit toxic smoke and corrosive gases in case of fire, improving safety in enclosed spaces. The OM2 50/125 core/cladding dimensions enable reliable multimode performance for LED and certain VCSEL light sources, while the duplex design simplifies bidirectional links. SC and ST connector types provide robust mechanical interfaces and easy mating in standard ports.

Suitable for

• Data center horizontal and interconnect cabling
• Campus, office and telecom riser links
• Patch panels, switches and media converters with SC or ST ports
• Short- to medium-distance multimode links up to OM2 performance limits

Key specifications

• Fiber type: Multimode 50/125 µm (OM2)
• Length: 10 meters
• Connector A: SC (single connector)
• Connector B: ST (single connector)
• Configuration: Duplex (two fibers)
• Jacket material: Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH)
• Typical application: Short- to medium-range multimode links

How to use

Route the cable between the two termination points ensuring bend radius limits are respected to avoid increased attenuation. Insert the SC connector into the corresponding SC adapter or port until it clicks, and insert the ST connector into the ST receptacle, aligning and twisting the bayonet coupling until it locks. Verify both fiber strands are connected in the correct polarity for transmit and receive channels. Test the link with an appropriate optical tester or light source and power meter to confirm acceptable loss levels before placing the connection into regular service.

Recommendations

Avoid tight bends and compressive forces on the fiber; maintain the manufacturer-recommended minimum bend radius, secure the cable with suitable cable management hardware, and keep connector endfaces clean using approved fiber cleaning tools to preserve signal integrity and prolong service life.
