Sonnet Fusion SSD M.2 4x4 PCIe -kortti (FUS-SSD-4X4-E3S)

The Sonnet M.2 4x4 PCIe card (FUS-SSD-4X4-E3S) installs up to four M.2 NVMe PCIe SSDs into a single full-height, full-length x16 PCIe slot, providing ultra-fast internal storage suitable for high-bandwidth workflows. The card uses a PCIe 3.0 16-lane interface so each installed SSD can operate with dedicated PCIe lanes, and it is compatible with Mac, Windows, and Linux systems as well as Thunderbolt-to-PCIe expansion systems that provide an x16 slot.

Advantages

The Sonnet card dedicates four PCIe 3.0 lanes to each M.2 SSD, enabling full performance from up to four drives simultaneously without relying on motherboard PCIe bifurcation. It supports a wide range of single- and double-sided M.2 NVMe SSDs, does not require specific SSD models to enable RAID or boot functions, and fits standard full-height, full-length PCIe slots. The product is made in the USA and comes in black and grey.

How to use

Power off your computer or expansion chassis and open the case according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Insert the Sonnet M.2 4x4 PCIe card into an available x16 PCIe slot and secure it in place. Install up to four M.2 NVMe SSDs into the card’s M.2 sockets using the provided screws or standoffs, taking care to align each module correctly. Reassemble the system, power it on, and verify in firmware/OS disk management that the drives are recognized. Configure the SSDs individually, create a RAID set, or install an operating system on a chosen SSD according to your workflow needs and the OS installation procedure.

Recommendations

Use enterprise-grade or high-performance NVMe SSDs for sustained throughput workloads; ensure your host system or expansion chassis provides adequate cooling and that your power and BIOS/UEFI settings support full x16 PCIe operation for best performance.
